Meet Our Appraisers
Donald J. Helmstetter, MAI
Don has over 45 years of appraisal experience; he holds a State General Certification in New Jersey and New York and has been an MAI since 1980. He is qualified as an expert witness before several courts including the Federal Bankruptcy Court, New Jersey Superior Court, and County Boards of Taxation and the Tax Court of New Jersey.Before becoming a real estate appraiser, he graduated from Montclair State University. Don is also a past president of the Metro New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and has served the chapter on numerous committees and on the board of directors.
Kristen Helmstetter, SRA
Kristen is a graduate of Skidmore College and has been appraising properties of various types since 2005. She is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser which qualifies her to appraisal properties of all types. Additionally, she earned the SRA designation in 2014 and is working toward the MAI designation. She is qualified as an expert witness before several courts including the New Jersey Superior Court, County Boards of Taxation and the Tax Court of New Jersey.Kristen is also an active member of the Metro New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.

Our company is composed of second- and third-generation designated members of the Appraisal Institute. This means that we have complied with the rigorous education and experience requirements while adhering to strict ethical codes.
One of our appraisers is a MAI-designated member, which deems him an expert in commercial properties. We also have an SRA who was designated by the Appraisal Institute as an expert in residential properties.
